A Tunica casino is set to open its new restaurant and new-to-the-market entertainment options as part of a $7 million project.

Gold Strike Casino Resort will have a grand opening of its 6,000-square-foot Moneyline Book, Bar & Grill on Friday, July 26. The non-smoking venue will feature more than 60 HD screens, including a giant video wall, expansive bar, three-meal dining, sports book, VIP lounge, entertainment, and the Mid-South’s first Topgolf Swing Suite.

The Topgolf Swing Suite will feature a variety of virtual games, and people can play in groups with up to eight players or practice solo.

David Tsai, president and COO of Gold Strike, said the MGM Resorts International facility is looking to position itself as the region’s leading destination for sports and entertainment.

“Last August, Gold Strike and MGM Resorts were the first to launch legalized sports betting in Mississippi, ushering in a new era of sports entertainment,” Tsai said in the release. “Nearly a year later, we up the ante on the sports betting and sports entertainment experience in the Mid-South. … We created an exceptional state-of-the-art venue that brings together sports, gaming, entertainment, dining and nightlife.”

The venue will have of two 16×9-foot video displays that can operate as 16 individual screens, in various combinations of sizes, or as one large display. Underneath a viewing wall sits a 50-foot-long bar with 16 video poker machines.

Moneyline will have a staff of 40 to 50 employees. Sports bets are taken at the Race & Sports Book adjacent to Moneyline.
